In a tweet dated April 11, 2025, Auchincloss addresses the lobbying efforts of social media corporations concerning China, highlighting their warning that taxation could lead to China gaining an edge in AI technology. He counters this by pointing out the significant investment in AI, noting, "OpenAI just raised the largest private round of funding in history. There's plenty of money getting invested in AI."
On the same day, Auchincloss commented on the harmful effects of deepfake pornography. He underscores its impact on women and argues that it misleads young men about sexuality, impairing their ability to build healthy relationships, noting that "it also harms young men by lying to them about sex and perverting their capacity to form healthy, intimate relationships on their own."
In a post from April 12, 2025, Auchincloss discusses the contribution of immigrants to the field of artificial intelligence. He highlights that of the eight authors of the influential 2017 AI paper "Attention is All You Need," seven are immigrants, and the eighth is a refugee's grandson. Auchincloss underscores the significance of immigrants by referencing the former CEO of Google's view that they are crucial for the U.S. to maintain AI dominance over China, stating, "how immigrants are the key to beating out China for AI dominance."
