Anna Maria College’s 2022 Celebration of Service and Success on March 31 culminated with a special announcement from President Mary Lou Retelle: Anna Maria is building a multipurpose athletic and baseball field. John J. Spillane, Esq., Chair of the Board of Trustees and Timothy P. Murray, Esq., Trustee and President of the Worcester Chamber of Commerce, joined President Retelle to unveil renderings of the new field.
“Athletics are an integral part of the Anna Maria education,” said President Retelle. “They unite the community in the stands and on the field and enhance the competitive experience for student athletes.”
The new field will raise Anna Maria’s profile in the NCAA Division III, make the College an attractive choice for incoming students, improve scheduling of on-campus events, and provide a richer experience not only for our students, but for the greater community.
Construction plans are about to move to the development phase under the direction of Derck & Edson.
