On January 30, 2025, Rep. Auchincloss posed a question regarding Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s potential influence over CDC websites related to vaccines. He asked, "Will RFK Jr commit not to altering existing CDC websites that say there is no link between measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) and autism? Will he prevent political appointees from intervening in updating vaccine information pages for the public?"
In another tweet on the same day, Auchincloss highlighted the impact of vaccines by stating, "Vaccines have saved 154 million lives over the last 50 years. That is six lives a minute." He expressed his intention to ask RFK Jr., whom he was addressing in his queries, some basic questions about this essential medical innovation.
Continuing with his line of questioning on January 30, Rep. Auchincloss raised concerns about the composition of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). He tweeted: "The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP)—made up of scientists and clinicians—is the body that recommends vaccines to the CDC. As HHS Secretary, RFK Jr will oversee this body." He then questioned whether RFK Jr would commit to maintaining current members or refrain from forcing them out.
