Rep. Jake Auchincloss, a U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts' 4th district, recently addressed several claims made by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. regarding vaccines and healthcare programs through a series of tweets on January 30, 2025.
In his first tweet, Rep. Auchincloss highlighted the role of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) in providing vaccine recommendations for children. He pointed out that "RFK Jr has attacked ACIP members in the past—claiming that their decisions are a result of 'fealty to their pharma overlords.' They are independent."
Continuing his critique, Rep. Auchincloss stated in another tweet that "RFK Jr has claimed that there is no vaccine that is safe and effective: And as we saw in the Senate hearings, RFK Jr does not understand the difference between Medicare and Medicaid." This tweet further emphasizes his disagreement with RFK Jr.'s stance on vaccines and healthcare.
Lastly, Rep. Auchincloss posed a question to RFK Jr., asking whether he would commit to maintaining funding or incentives for free and recommended vaccines within Medicare and Medicaid programs: "Will RFK Jr commit to not reducing funding or incentives for free & recommended vaccines in Medicare and Medicaid programs?"
