DROSIDIS VOTED COSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT

Senior shortstop Kosta Drosidis (Holden, MA) of the Anna Maria College baseball team was voted to the 2022 Academic All‐District® Baseball Team, selected by CoSIDA as announced by the association on Thursday.

Drosidis furthered his storied career in 2022, setting the school's all-time record in career home runs with 20, shattering the previous mark by six. His 60 hits this season are the second-most ever by an AMCAT while his fourteen doubles were also second all-time. His 37 runs batted-in are the fourth-most in a single season. Drosidis was voted to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) first team for the third consecutive season, and was ultimately recognized as the Anna Maria College Male Athlete of the Year. For his career, he is currently first all-time in career slugging (.637) and is second all-time in career batting average (.384), runs batted in (120) and on-base percentage (.458) while ranking third in hits (170) and fourth in runs scored (111).

To be eligible for all-academic honors, a student-athlete must be a starter or a key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot.
