Seth Moulton comments on Pearl Harbor remembrance and fiscal policy concerns

Rep. Seth Moulton, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts' 6th district, has recently shared several statements on social media addressing key national and state issues. The posts reflect on historical events, fiscal policies, and housing initiatives.

On December 7, 2024, Rep. Moulton commemorated the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack with a tribute to those who lost their lives. He stated: "On this day in 1941, our nation faced an unprecedented attack. We honor the 2,403 souls lost at Pearl Harbor and reaffirm our commitment to the principles of freedom and democracy they valiantly defended."

In a post dated December 9, 2024, Moulton criticized former President Trump's budgetary plans for potentially increasing the national deficit significantly. He emphasized the need for serious discussions about funding national defense: "Trump’s budgetary plans will increase the deficit dramatically. So if we really want to invest more in our national defense, we have to talk seriously about how we’re going to pay for that."

On December 10, 2024, Rep. Moulton highlighted progress made under the MBTA Communities Act regarding affordable housing near transit systems in Massachusetts. He expressed optimism about continuing these efforts: "100+ towns are leading under the MBTA Communities Act, proving that affordable housing near transit is achievable. Let’s build on this success and work together to solve our housing crisis by building at least 200,000 homes in MA by 2030."
