A Worcester man, Andres DeJesus, 66, was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison on February 4, 2026, for possessing child sexual abuse material. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Richard G. Stearns in Boston federal court. DeJesus will also serve five years of supervised release after his prison term.
DeJesus pleaded guilty in October 2025 to one count of possession of child pornography. According to authorities, he was apprehended on August 8, 2025, after arriving at Logan Airport from the Dominican Republic. He had been denied entry into the Dominican Republic due to his status as a registered sex offender. Upon his return to Boston, law enforcement searched his luggage and found several articles of children’s clothing along with a large quantity of chocolate and other sweets.
Investigators discovered a Zip file containing three videos with child sexual abuse material on DeJesus’ cell phone during an initial search. A subsequent forensic examination revealed at least 600 images depicting similar material.
DeJesus has a prior conviction from Middlesex County Superior Court in 2010 for indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, possession of child pornography, and posing or exhibiting a child in a sexual act. He was previously sentenced to eight years and one day in state prison for those offenses.
United States Attorney Leah B. Foley stated: “Andres DeJesus was sentenced by United States District Judge Richard G. Stearns to 12 years in prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release.” Michael J. Krol, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England; Jennifer De La O, Director of Field Operations for U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Boston Field Office; and Chief Paul B. Saucier of the Worcester Police Department also announced the sentencing.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David G. Tobin from the Major Crimes Unit.
