U.S. Representative Seth Moulton, who serves Massachusetts’ 6th district, recently used his social media platform to address issues surrounding the State Department funding bill and the elimination of USAID, as well as to share related documents and statements.

On January 14, 2026, Moulton posted a link to a full release: Full release here: https://t.co/H1IAcNBdZz.

The following day, he expressed opposition to a recent State Department funding bill, stating on January 15, 2026: “I could not in good conscience vote for a State Department funding bill that ratified Donald Trump’s decision to eliminate USAID … We should not be silent about this.” https://t.co/KIdyMxBfqo.

Seth Moulton has represented Massachusetts’s 6th District in Congress since 2015 after succeeding John F. Tierney. He was born in Salem, Massachusetts in 1978 and continues to reside there. Prior to his congressional service, Moulton earned degrees from Harvard University and Harvard Business School and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
