U.S. Representative Seth Moulton, who represents Massachusetts’ 6th district in Congress, recently addressed concerns on social media regarding the Trump Administration’s handling of legal justifications for military strikes and upcoming changes to SNAP funding.

On October 30, 2025, Moulton criticized the administration’s approach to Congressional oversight, stating, “If the Trump Administration thinks these strikes are legally justified, hiding from Congress sends the opposite message.-SWM”. On the same day, he shared details about a classified House Armed Services Committee (HASC) briefing: “Today, at a classified HASC briefing on recent counternarcotics operations in the Pacific and Caribbean, the Pentagon pulled its lawyers – the exact people who would supply a legal justification for these strikes – from the briefing with no notice.”

A day later, on October 31, 2025, Moulton addressed constituents’ concerns about federal nutrition assistance programs ahead of an important deadline: “Ahead of the November 1 SNAP funding deadline, here are answers to some of the questions that our office is receiving about SNAP and what a potential funding lapse entails. https://t.co/Mouagc2V7j”

Seth Moulton has served in Congress since 2015 after succeeding John F. Tierney as representative for Massachusetts’ 6th district. He was born in Salem in 1978 and continues to reside there. Prior to his Congressional service, he attended Harvard University for both undergraduate and graduate studies.
