Seth Moulton, a congressman representing Massachusetts’ 6th district since 2015, often takes to social media to share his political endeavors and initiatives. Having replaced John F. Tierney, Moulton has built a reputation as an advocate for equality and education, as well as an opponent of digital harassment. Born in Salem, Massachusetts in 1978, and a Harvard alum, Moulton combines his legislative responsibilities with his dedication to community outreach.
On April 29, 2025, Rep. Seth Moulton announced via Twitter, “I’m proud to be a cosponsor of the #EqualityAct this Congress to explicitly prohibit LGBTQI+ discrimination, strengthen prohibitions on sex discrimination, & expand protections for minority communities in public accommodations—which makes EVERY American’s rights safer.” The Equality Act aims to ensure comprehensive measures against discrimination across the nation.
Later that day, Moulton expressed his concerns as a father in a post, saying, “As a dad of two daughters, I worry about the rise of online harassment and violence. It’s critical that we crack down on AI deepfakes and revenge porn, which can derail someone’s life with just one anonymous click. I supported the bipartisan #TakeItDownAct, which empowers…” He emphasized the importance of legislative action to combat harmful digital content.
On April 30, 2025, Moulton invited constituents to partake in a community event via a tweet. “Join us for our 2nd Annual Passport Fair on Saturday, May 10th, from 10AM to 2PM at the Community Life Center in Salem. Seth Moulton’s education background includes a BS from Harvard University in 2001 and a subsequent graduation from Harvard Business School in 2011. He currently resides in Salem, Massachusetts.
