Seth Moulton, U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 6th district since 2015, made several statements on his official press office account addressing national and international issues in early April 2026.
On April 2, Moulton’s press office posted a brief message referencing an unspecified event or individual: “It was all downhill after this moment. Good riddance, Pam.”
The following day, April 3, the account commented on U.S. foreign policy goals and potential risks with Iran: “The more our goals expand, the harder it will be to claim victory, and the more leverage Iran gains. Just imagine if, a few weeks from now, Iran has captured several American troops, and we’re back to the hostage crisis of four decades ago.”
Later that same day, Moulton’s office addressed President Trump’s proposed defense budget for the year: “Trump has proposed a $1.5 trillion defense budget, nearly doubling last year’s defense budget of $839 billion. You know what that money could do instead? Provide healthcare for every uninsured American. Housing for every homeless veteran. Childcare, Pell Grants, high speed”
Seth Moulton has represented Massachusetts’ 6th District in Congress since replacing John F. Tierney in 2015 and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Salem in 1978 and currently residing there at age 44, he is an alumnus of Harvard University and Harvard Business School.
