U.S. Congressman Seth Moulton, who has represented Massachusetts’ 6th district since 2015, recently addressed several national issues through a series of social media posts.
On January 3, 2026, Rep. Moulton wrote: “Rep. Moulton drafted this legislation out of deep concern for this exact scenario that is playing out now. Congress needs to stand up and say no to Trump’s illegal war.” The statement refers to legislative efforts aimed at curbing unauthorized military action by former President Donald Trump.
Two days later, on January 5, Moulton criticized Pete Hegseth’s actions toward Senator Kelly, stating: “Pete Hegseth’s continued weaponization of the government to target Senator Kelly – an American hero and dedicated public servant to this country – is a complete disgrace.”
On January 6, marking the anniversary of the Capitol insurrection in 2021, Moulton commented on ongoing threats to democratic institutions: “Five years ago, Donald Trump tried to overturn the results of a free and fair election by inciting the violence that led to the Jan. 6 insurrection. Today, his attacks on our democracy continue. We must learn from that day and do everything we can to ensure it never repeats.”
Seth Moulton was born in Salem, Massachusetts in 1978 and continues to reside there at age 44. He graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in 2001 and completed his studies at Harvard Business School in 2011. Prior to serving in Congress since 2015—a seat he took over from John F. Tierney—he served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
