U.S. Representative Seth Moulton, who serves Massachusetts’ 6th district in Congress, posted a series of statements on social media regarding his recent visit to the Burlington ICE facility and U.S. policy toward Taiwan.
On December 1, 2025, Moulton wrote: “This morning I walked into the Burlington ICE facility to get real answers and to stand up for those demanding accountability.
To the advocates who continue to show up and speak out – you are not alone. We will keep fighting for justice and human rights, together. -SWM” In a subsequent post later that day, he shared: “WATCH: Rep. Moulton addresses advocates and media after the conclusion of his visit inside the Burlington ICE facility.”
Shifting focus to international affairs on December 2, 2025, Moulton commented on Taiwan’s defense spending amid tensions with China: “If China tries to invade Taiwan, the US only has bad choices, so it is good news to see the island take its self-defense so seriously.
$40 billion on asymmetric defenses buys a lot of doubt for Xi Jinping about his odds of success.”
Seth Moulton has represented Massachusetts’s 6th District in Congress since replacing John F. Tierney in 2015. He was born in Salem, Massachusetts in 1978 and currently resides there. Before joining Congress, he served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and holds degrees from Harvard University and Harvard Business School.
