U.S. Representative Seth Moulton, who represents Massachusetts’ 6th district in Congress, has recently used his social media platform to address concerns about U.S. policy on artificial intelligence and the sale of advanced chips to China, as well as actions taken by South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.
On December 9, 2025, Moulton highlighted a statement from the Trump Department of Justice regarding the strategic importance of artificial intelligence: “The Trump DOJ said recently, ‘the country that controls AI technology will control the future.’ If it believes its own words, then it will reverse this decision immediately.”
In another post from the same day, he discussed the dual-use nature of certain computer chips and their implications for national security: “These chips also have dual-use (civilian and military) uses. This means that selling these chips to China also helps China improve its surveillance and cyber espionage capabilities.”
Two days later, on December 11, 2025, Moulton criticized Governor Kristi Noem’s actions regarding veterans’ rights: “If @Sec_Noem thinks kidnapping U.S. citizens without due process isn’t a crime, wait till she learns what perjury is.
We’ve got the receipts, from a September 2 letter from Secretary Noem to our office stating eight veterans had been removed.

Seth Moulton has served in Congress since 2015 after succeeding John F. Tierney and previously held a seat in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Salem in 1978 and an alumnus of Harvard University and Harvard Business School, Moulton continues to reside in his hometown while focusing on national security issues related to technology exports and veterans’ rights.
