Rep. Seth Moulton, a U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 6th district since 2015, posted a series of statements on social media regarding oversight of ICE detention facilities and the accountability of Secretary Kristi Noem in relation to recent events.

On January 11, 2026, Moulton referenced a recent legal decision: “A court ruling from three weeks ago affirmed the legal right of Members of Congress to be allowed to conduct oversight of ICE detention facilities without prior notice. Kristi Noem does not get to override the law just because she would rather avoid scrutiny and accountability.”

Two days later, on January 13, he posted another statement about Secretary Noem’s role in an ongoing case: “Secretary Kristi Noem bears responsibility for cultivating the lawlessness that contributed to the murder of Renee Nicole Good. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and is an alumnus of Harvard University and Harvard Business School.
