Quinsigamond Community College received $38,208 from the Healey-Driscoll Administration to support its Bridges to College program, according to a May 12 announcement.
The funding is intended to help low-income and entry-level adult students transition into higher education. The college’s initiative aims to provide these students with resources and support as they prepare for college-level coursework.
Bridges to College focuses on assisting adults who may face barriers in accessing higher education opportunities. By offering targeted programming, the college seeks to improve educational outcomes and expand access for underserved populations.
The grant reflects ongoing efforts by state leaders to promote workforce development and educational attainment among Massachusetts residents. Such programs are seen as important steps toward increasing economic mobility and addressing gaps in postsecondary achievement.
Looking ahead, Quinsigamond Community College plans to use the funds to strengthen its outreach and support services within the Bridges to College program.
