Nick Tidik records career high in Merrimack volleyball season finale against Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras

Nick Tidik achieved a career high of 20 kills for the Merrimack College men’s volleyball team in its match against Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras, according to an April 17 report. Despite strong performances from several players, Merrimack lost the match 3-1.

Tidik’s performance also included seven block assists, marking another personal best. Dallas Birkenbeuel contributed with a double-double, recording 13 kills and 10 digs. Nathaniel Venegas reached a career milestone with 10 kills during the game.

Blake Taschner added five blocks, setting his own career record in the process. Max Tkachev finished with eight kills for Merrimack.

The match marks the end of the team’s 2026 season. The team expressed appreciation to supporters and indicated plans to return next year.
