The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) is set to open a new service center in Milford on Monday, June 23. The facility, located at 138 South Main Street, will host all appointments and road tests scheduled for that date or later.

Registrar of Motor Vehicles Colleen Ogilvie said, “As we continue working to enhance the customers’ experience at our service centers, the Milford relocation is one of three scheduled relocations planned for this year.” She emphasized that customers with appointments should note the new address.

The new 9,176-square-foot center features updates aimed at improving safety, accessibility, and customer experience. It includes 17 customer service counters and a Business-to-Business area for commercial clients. Additional upgrades include an employee wellness room and real-time indoor air quality monitoring.

In recent years, the RMV has focused on creating an industry-leading environment for its diverse clientele. The goal is to provide locations with improved accessibility and parking, efficient customer intake processes, sustainable construction features, and enhanced design to meet customer needs.

The RMV advises customers to utilize its Online Service Center for over 60 transactions such as renewing licenses or registrations and paying citations. For necessary in-person visits, scheduling an appointment online is recommended. Customers can prepare by visiting Mass.Gov/RMV for transaction details and forms.
