The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association released on May 27 the brackets and final power rankings for the 2026 statewide Boys Lacrosse tournament, which is set to begin Friday, May 29.

A total of 142 boys lacrosse teams will participate in this year’s postseason. This marks the fifth year under the MIAA’s statewide tournament format. Each of the four divisions will see the top 32 eligible power ranked teams automatically qualify, while any eligible teams seeded below 33 with at least a .500 winning percentage are also included.

The divisional breakdown includes Division 1 with 34 teams, Division 2 with 33 teams, Division 3 with 41 teams, and Division 4 with 34 teams. Brackets and final power rankings are available on the MIAA website. Bracket information will be updated as dates, times, and sites are finalized.

State championship games are tentatively scheduled for Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13. All games leading up to the Round of Eight will be played at the home site of the higher seed unless that site is deemed unacceptable. In such cases, either an acceptable site must be found by the home school athletic director, or hosting responsibilities may shift to the lower seed. If neither site is acceptable, a Tournament Administrator will select an appropriate location according to MIAA policy.

The association will provide neutral venues for State Semifinals and Finals as outlined by TMC Site Policy. Further details about procedures can be found in the MIAA Boys Lacrosse Tournament Format.
