A woman from Dracut, Massachusetts, has been charged with allegedly leaking information from a federal grand jury to unauthorized individuals. Jessica M. Leslie, 34, faces one count of criminal contempt and has agreed to plead guilty. Her initial appearance in federal court in Boston is yet to be scheduled.

The charging document alleges that between August 11, 2022, and March 4, 2024, Leslie disclosed sealed information including witness names and testimony details presented before the grand jury. This action violates Federal Rules and a court order.

Criminal contempt can result in a prison sentence of any term of years, five years of supervised release, and a fine up to $250,000. Sentences are determined by a federal district court judge based on U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes.

United States Attorney Leah B. Foley and Ted E. Docks, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Boston office announced the charges. Assistant U.S. Attorney Anne Paruti is prosecuting the case.

The allegations in the charging documents are not proof of guilt; Leslie is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
