A Lynn man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for his involvement in a significant drug trafficking organization operating on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Deiby Felix, 41, received the sentence from U.S. District Court Judge Patti B. Saris, followed by five years of supervised release. Felix had pleaded guilty in February 2025 to charges including possession with intent to manufacture and distribute large quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as possession of a firearm related to drug trafficking.
The investigation began in July 2023 after an overdose death in Salem led authorities to the drug trafficking organization run by Felix along with Emilio Garcia and Sebastien Bejin. Searches conducted on November 1, 2023, at four locations in Lynn resulted in one of the largest seizures of fentanyl and methamphetamine ever recorded in Massachusetts. The operation uncovered nine kilograms of pink heart-shaped fentanyl-laced pills designed to resemble candy.
In total, approximately eight million doses of fentanyl and methamphetamine were seized during the investigation, with an estimated street value exceeding $8 million. Authorities also confiscated multiple firearms and equipment used for manufacturing drugs from Felix’s residence.
Co-defendants Bejin and Garcia have also been sentenced for their roles in the organization. Bejin received a 12-year prison sentence while Garcia was sentenced to 18 years.
The announcement was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley along with other law enforcement officials involved in the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Philip A. Mallard prosecuted this case under the Organized Crime & Gang Unit.
