Boston University junior Kylie Doherty was named to NCAA Softball’s Lineup of the Week, as announced by selector Michella Chester on April 15. Doherty earned this recognition after helping her team win all four games during the past week, hitting three home runs and driving in eight runs.

The honor highlights Doherty’s impact on the field, where her contributions played a key role in Boston University’s recent successes. This selection marks her as the third Terrier player to receive this accolade during the season, following senior first baseman Megan Coyle on April 8 and junior outfielder Sophie Naivar on March 25.

Doherty, who is from Bolton, Massachusetts, posted a .467 batting average against Providence and Colgate with a slugging percentage of 1.133. Her performance included a grand slam in an 8-7 victory over Providence College. During games at Colgate University, she went six for eleven at bat and tallied four RBIs with two home runs in a five-inning win.

Chester’s weekly lineup also featured players from several other universities across various positions. The list included Keagan Rothrock from Florida Gators Softball as pitcher and Samantha Swan from Arizona State University Softball as catcher.

Doherty’s recognition underscores both her individual achievements and Boston University’s strong showing throughout the season.
