Kingston Town Clerk’s Office announces limited hours for June 3 and 4

The Kingston Town Clerk’s Office announced on June 1 that it will have limited hours on Wednesday, June 3, and Thursday, June 4 to allow staff to attend the Massachusetts Town Clerk’s Association Conference and Training.

According to the announcement, the office will close at noon on Wednesday, June 3, and remain closed all day Thursday, June 4. During these periods, access to email and phone service will be limited. The office stated, “If you have an urgent matter or Burial Permit requiring immediate attention, please feel free to call or text directly at 617-699-3225.”

The office also said it would monitor email periodically for agenda postings during lunch hours and after 5:00 PM; however, response times may be longer than usual. The message concluded with a note of appreciation: “Thank you for your understanding.”

Regular Town House hours may vary by department: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday closed.

The announcement advised residents that if they need assistance during the closure window—especially regarding urgent matters—they should use the direct contact number provided.
