Jake Auchincloss, representing Massachusetts’ 4th Congressional District since 2021, has recently taken to social media to address several pressing issues. Born in Newton, Massachusetts, in 1988, and a Harvard and MIT alumnus, Auchincloss continues to use his platform to bring attention to both domestic and international affairs.
On April 24, 2025, Auchincloss commented on China’s military advancements: “The Chinese are building invasion barges for Taiwan. Pete Hegseth is building a makeup studio.” His statement juxtaposes China’s military efforts with a media personality’s activities, which may reflect differing priorities.
Later that day, he honored Holocaust victims, stating, “Today is Yom HaShoah, the Holocaust Day of Remembrance. I honor the victims, survivors, and liberators of the Holocaust. The genocide of Jews was neither long ago nor far away, and Americans from all walks of life must recommit ourselves to addressing antisemitism, which is on.” His remarks are part of an ongoing effort to combat antisemitism and commemorate those affected by the Holocaust.
In another post on April 24, 2025, Auchincloss addressed the immigration debate, asserting, “The president is presenting a false choice on immigration. The government can deport criminals and also welcome the builders and inventors from other countries that help make America rich and strong. Our country is losing the global talent we need to succeed.” He emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balanced immigration policy that supports both security and economic growth through skilled immigration.
Jake Auchincloss has been a member of the U.S. Congress since 2021, having previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He succeeded Joe Kennedy III and continues to reside in Newton, Massachusetts.
