Rep. Jake Auchincloss, who represents Massachusetts’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account regarding recent military and political developments involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

On March 29, 2026, Auchincloss commented on strategic dynamics in ongoing conflicts: “On the strategic ledger of this war, the United States and Israel played the card of air dominance. Iran picked up the card of sea denial.” On the same day, he directed followers to an opinion piece he authored: “My piece in the Boston Globe: https://t.co/VjdopRUxav”

The following day, March 30, 2026, Auchincloss criticized federal budget priorities and congressional procedures related to war funding: “At the same time as the president is cutting medical research & Medicaid, he’s asking Congress for a $200 billion blank check for a war that hasn’t even had a hearing, much less authorization. Hard no.”

Jake Auchincloss has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Joe Kennedy III. He previously held office in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1988, Auchincloss is an alumnus of both Harvard University and MIT.
