Rep. Jake Auchincloss, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts’ 4th district since 2021, has raised concerns on social media about technology’s impact on children and underscored the importance of U.S. commitments to NATO allies in recent posts.

On September 9, 2025, Auchincloss commented on children’s outdoor activity and screen time, writing, “The average American child spends less time outdoors than a federal inmate. Kids are glued to their screens while bits of software deliver hits of digital dopamine.

This bits-to-hits pathway targeting our kids makes big tech a lot of money, but it’s not the future I want for my”.

The following day, September 10, 2025, he referenced an earlier warning regarding international affairs by stating, “I warned of this last year. Still a successful summit?” In another post on the same day, Auchincloss addressed the United States’ obligations under Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty and support for Poland: “In keeping with our Article 4 obligations, the United States should work closely with our NATO allies to support Poland. The Speaker and Senate Majority Leader should express their public affirmation of America’s commitment to the most successful alliance in history. Now is a”.

Jake Auchincloss succeeded Joe Kennedy III as representative for Massachusetts’ 4th district in 2021 after previously serving in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1988 and currently residing there at age 35, Auchincloss holds degrees from both Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
