Jake Auchincloss, a current U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 4th district since 2021, has voiced his opinions on several critical issues through social media. Born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1988, Auchincloss is a Harvard and MIT graduate who replaced Joe Kennedy III in Congress. He has previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
On June 15, 2025, Auchincloss addressed recent tragic events in Minnesota, describing them as “political terrorism.” In his tweet, he stated: “The political terrorism in Minnesota is a tragedy and a warning. The demonization and conspiracy in our discourse must stop. Everyone must condemn hate, extremism, and violence.” He expressed his condolences for Melissa and Mark Hortman and their children affected by this event.
Later that day, Auchincloss criticized the celebration of the United States Army’s anniversary via another post. He remarked: “This parade was not about the 250th anniversary of the United States Army; it’s an expensive birthday party for the Dear Leader.” He referenced George Washington’s stance on politicizing military celebrations at the nation’s founding to emphasize maintaining tradition.
On June 17, 2025, Auchincloss commented on energy policy decisions by sharing that both Democrats and the Secretary of Energy support nuclear and geothermal energy for achieving energy dominance. However, he noted that “House Republicans are gutting both” these initiatives. His views were shared through a tweet highlighting how programs like the Loan Programs Office and IRA tax credits assist these energy sectors.
Jake Auchincloss continues to engage with significant national issues from his position as a congressman while drawing attention to legislative challenges within energy policies.
