Rep. Jake Auchincloss, U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 4th district since 2021, recently shared updates on his official Twitter account about his experience in military service and recent scientific meetings in Massachusetts.
On December 5, 2025, Auchincloss wrote, “I commanded a drug interdiction mission in Central America. Keeping Americans safe requires working with allies, not killing shipwrecked sailors.”
Two days later, on December 7, 2025, he commented on a visit by the NIH Director to Massachusetts: “The NIH Director met with Eds & Meds executives, top scientists & young investigators. The message was that Massachusetts wants a scientific meritocracy, where the best research is funded.”

Jake Auchincloss has represented Massachusetts’s 4th District in Congress since succeeding Joe Kennedy III in 2021. He previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and holds degrees from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1988, Auchincloss continues to reside there.
