Rep. Jake Auchincloss, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts’ 4th district, has been active on social media discussing various legislative and international issues. His recent posts address significant topics ranging from prescription drug supply chain reforms to gun control and international financial strategies.

On December 11, 2024, Rep. Auchincloss highlighted his leadership role in a new bill aimed at fortifying the prescription-drug supply chain. He explained that the legislation seeks to create a “firewall” within this system by separating entities involved in research, manufacturing, prescribing, and dispensing of drugs from other sectors. “This bill, which I’m leading in the House with @RepHarshbarger, is an important step towards building a firewall within the prescription-drug supply chain: On one side, the ‘medical’: those who research, manufacture, prescribe and/or dispense Rx drugs.”

In another tweet dated December 12, 2024, Rep. Auchincloss addressed gun violence following a tragic incident involving a ghost gun. He urged for reflection on why such firearms are easily accessible rather than celebrating violent outcomes. “Two sons will never see their father again. Stop celebrating that, and start asking why it was so easy for the killer to get a ghost gun.”

Later on December 12th, he commented on U.S.-Russia-Ukraine relations by referencing actions taken at the onset of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He noted that approximately $300 billion in Russian sovereign wealth had been frozen by Western allies to hinder its use in warfare efforts. The interest accrued from these assets is now being used to fund American aid to Ukraine amounting to $20 billion.”When Russia first invaded Ukraine… America is sending Ukraine $20B underwritten by the interest from those Russian assets.”
