Rep. Jake Auchincloss, a U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 4th district since 2021, recently posted several comments on economic policy, Middle East peace initiatives, and the role of online discourse in American society.

On September 29, 2025, Auchincloss wrote: “The middle class is paying more for everything in Trump’s economy. There are simple, popular policies on Medicaid & tariffs that could help. To lower prices, the president should get to yes on them in today’s meeting.”

Two days later, on October 1, 2025, he addressed the President’s proposal for resolving conflict in the Middle East: “The President’s 20-point peace plan is more of a concept than a plan. Particularly challenging is #16, which, while rightly acknowledging that Israel cannot occupy or annex Gaza, relies on vague ‘standards, milestones, and timeframes’ set by Netanyahu to determine when Israel”

Later that same day, Auchincloss commented on public trust and digital engagement: “I went on @BigWeekendShow to make the case that IRL engagements build trust, but online outrage is destroying it & ripping our society apart.”

Jake Auchincloss succeeded Joe Kennedy III as representative of Massachusetts’ 4th district and has been serving since 2021. He previously held office in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and was born in Newton in 1988. Auchincloss holds degrees from both Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
