Rep. Jake Auchincloss, who represents Massachusetts’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing legislative and public health issues, as well as commemorating a tragic event.

On October 5, 2025, Auchincloss criticized the Speaker of the House regarding tariff legislation, stating, “The Speaker has prevented Congress from even voting on tariffs — the biggest tax hike in modern American history.”

Two days later, on October 7, 2025, Auchincloss shared his experience attending a memorial event in Boston: “Today, I attended the Nova Exhibition in Boston to bear witness to the massacre of more than 400 young Israelis at the Nova Music Festival two years ago today. I watched the videos, viewed the wreckage, and heard directly from survivors. I read remembrances of those who were”.

Later that same day, Auchincloss commented on recent changes to vaccination policy: “The CDC’s endorsement of separating the MMR vaccine into three shots is based not on science but on ‘what I feel’, according to the president. It will require more doctor visits and more needles, reducing uptake and increasing measles rates. Every GOP Senator who voted to confirm”.

Jake Auchincloss has served in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Joe Kennedy III. He previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and was born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1988. Auchincloss holds degrees from both Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
