Rep. Jake Auchincloss, U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 4th district since 2021, recently used his social media platform to criticize actions by several federal agencies and the president’s foreign policy stance.

On July 21, Auchincloss addressed recent developments regarding federal funding for job training programs: “The directors of the Shriver and Grafton Job Corps Centers recently met with me in Washington to discuss the cruel and counterproductive actions by the Department of Labor (DOL) against Job Corps. In a post dated July 23, Auchincloss commented on U.S. foreign policy towards Russia: “The president seems to be recognizing, a decade late, that Vladimir Putin is an enemy. Now he must demonstrate strength, not vacillation.”

Later that same day, he criticized internal practices at the Food & Drug Administration: “Hallucinated drug reviews. Politicized priority vouchers. Purges of top scientists. Rejection notices leaked with unprofessional talk tracks. The Food & Drug Administration is bleeding out its integrity.

Jake Auchincloss has represented Massachusetts’s 4th District in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Joe Kennedy III and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1988, he holds degrees from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and continues to reside in Newton.
