Rep. Jake Auchincloss, a U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 4th district since 2021, has recently made several statements on social media addressing government oversight, press freedom, and international politics.

On March 7, 2026, Auchincloss posted about regulatory concerns in the Food and Drug Administration: “The FDA commissioner & his CBER director are breaking the law. Under GOP gavels, the Energy & Commerce Committee has done nothing to stop it. The simple first step is a hearing.”

A day later, on March 8, he expressed support for journalists covering military affairs: “Thank you to the reporters everywhere who are covering the Pentagon despite being ejected for refusing to comply with demands unfitting for a free press”.

Later that same day, Auchincloss commented on changes in Iranian leadership: “Donald Trump has replaced an 86-year-old terrorist dictator with a 56-year-old terrorist dictator. Mojtaba Khamenei is a radical Shia Islamist who is committed to hard-line clerical rule at home and to exporting the Islamic Revolution abroad. He has deep, decades-long ties to the”.

Jake Auchincloss was born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1988 and currently resides there. He holds degrees from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before his tenure in Congress began in 2021—when he succeeded Joe Kennedy III—he served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
