Rep. Jake Auchincloss, who represents Massachusetts’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing international relations and domestic regulatory oversight.
On December 2, 2025, Auchincloss commented on ongoing negotiations involving Ukraine and Russia, stating, “America & Ukraine can agree a deal. The question is Russia. Facing strength, Putin might negotiate. But he’s not dealing with strength, he’s dealing with Trump.”
The following day, December 3, 2025, Auchincloss criticized U.S. foreign policy regarding oil interests by posting, “Blood for oil was wrong in Iraq and it’s wrong in Venezuela.”
On December 5, 2025, Auchincloss turned his attention to domestic matters concerning the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), writing that “The FDA has lost 20 years of competence & credibility in the last 12 months. Yet Republicans won’t hold a single oversight hearing. Congress must act to protect the safety & efficacy standards upon which biotech therapies & jobs rely.”
Jake Auchincloss has served as the representative for Massachusetts’s 4th District since replacing Joe Kennedy III in 2021. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1988 and currently residing there at age 35, Auchincloss holds degrees from both Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
