U.S. Representative Jake Auchincloss, who serves Massachusetts’ 4th district, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media platform addressing topics ranging from Ukraine aid and oil sanctions to Medicaid policy and political leadership.
On October 2, 2025, Auchincloss commented on international support for Ukraine: “Since I wrote this last year, there’s been progress on the strikes & the funding. More to be done on the oil sanctions, though: many of Ukraine’s allies have paid more to Russia for energy than they have given to Ukraine for arms.”
The following day, October 3, he addressed domestic policy debates in Congress regarding Medicaid and tax priorities: “No matter how hard the Speaker tries to change the subject, Medicaid is about health care, not about immigration. Americans see through the talking points and understand that their health-care bills will go up so that taxes for the rich can go down.”
On October 5, Auchincloss offered a brief critique of political leadership without specifying individuals or parties: “They want the mandate but not the accountability. That’s not leadership.”
Jake Auchincloss has represented Massachusetts’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Joe Kennedy III in 2021. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1988 and currently residing there at age 35, Auchincloss holds degrees from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
