U.S. Representative Jake Auchincloss, who serves Massachusetts’ 4th district, recently addressed several policy issues in a series of posts on social media platform X.

On September 6, 2025, Auchincloss posted about technology and society, stating “America doesn’t need to accept a future dominated by digital dopamine. We can choose IRL.”

Two days later, on September 8, he commented on the deployment of the National Guard in his home state: “No National Guard should be deployed to Massachusetts without the express written request of the governor.”

Later that same day, Auchincloss weighed in on pharmaceutical industry competition: ‘”The wholesalers would compete for the best price from the [drug] manufacturers and then compete for the business of pharmacies.” And, further upstream, the manufacturers would compete on quality of R&D, and, further downstream, the pharmacists would compete on patient service.’

Jake Auchincloss has represented Massachusetts’ 4th district in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Joe Kennedy III. He previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Newton in 1988 and currently residing there at age 35, Auchincloss holds degrees from Harvard University and MIT.
