Rep. Jake Auchincloss, who represents Massachusetts’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed issues ranging from Medicaid changes to international relations with Russia in a series of posts on his official social media account.

On September 22, 2025, Auchincloss commented on proposed changes to Medicaid by stating, “Necessity is the mother of invention. MAGA is cutting Medicaid. An upcoming waiver process, though, gives Massachusetts the opportunity to invent a stronger version of MassHealth that lowers costs and improves access. It’s risky. But the status quo of spiraling costs and”. The post alludes to ongoing debates over federal healthcare policy and its impact on state-level programs like MassHealth.

Three days later, on September 25, 2025, Auchincloss turned his attention to foreign policy and U.S.-Russia relations. He wrote: “The Kremlin doesn’t take Truth Social posts seriously. It cares about its oil, its arms, and its assets. Hit those three or stop talking.” The statement was accompanied by links referencing related content.

Jake Auchincloss began serving as a member of Congress for Massachusetts’s 4th District in 2021 after succeeding Joe Kennedy III. Prior to his congressional tenure, he served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Newton in 1988 and currently residing there at age 35, Auchincloss holds degrees from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
