Jack Andrews was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week after leading the Warriors to a series sweep over Saint Peter’s, according to a May 12 announcement.

Andrews’ performance was highlighted by his offensive and defensive contributions during the three-game stretch. His recognition as Player of the Week reflects his key role in securing victories for his team.

The sophomore recorded seven hits, eight runs batted in, and four stolen bases over the weekend. In the opening game, Andrews matched his career high with five RBI and collected four hits along with one stolen base. In the following game, he added two more hits and drove in three additional runs while stealing two bases. During the final game of the series, Andrews contributed a hit, drew a walk, and stole another base.

Andrews is from Connecticut and has been an important part of his team’s success this season. The Warriors are scheduled to play at U-Maine on Tuesday in a non-conference matchup before hosting Quinnipiac University at Alumni Field this coming weekend.

The continued strong performances by players like Andrews may impact future games as conference play continues.
