Holy Cross men’s rowing competes in IRA National Championship heats

The Holy Cross men’s rowing team competed in heat races at the IRA National Championship on May 29 at Lake Natoma in Gold River, California.

The varsity eight finished fifth in heat three with a time of 5:57.230, ahead of MIT. This result advances the varsity eight to the CD semifinal scheduled for tomorrow at 9:36 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

The second varsity eight secured fourth place in its heat with a time of 5:59.270, defeating Navy and Oregon State. The crew will race next in the CD semifinal at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

In other events, the third varsity eight finished fifth in its heat with a time of 6:07.860 and will compete again tomorrow in the CD semifinal at 10:16 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time. The varsity four placed twenty-ninth overall during its time trial, recording a time of 6:45.280 and is set to participate in the DE semifinal tomorrow at 4:32 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Lineups for each boat were provided by Holy Cross, listing coxswains and rowers for all four crews competing.
