A Haverhill man has been sentenced to over three years in prison for trafficking cocaine and illegal firearms in the Boston area. Cordell Miller, 29, received a 42-month prison sentence followed by three years of supervised release. U.S. Senior District Court Judge William G. Young delivered the sentence after Miller pleaded guilty in February 2025 to charges including distribution of cocaine, aiding and abetting, and firearms trafficking.

Miller was arrested in November 2023 alongside co-conspirators Malcolm Desir and Alan Robinson. He was identified as a trafficker of firearms and ammunition within metro Boston. In August 2023, he arranged sales involving distribution weight cocaine and multiple firearms to a cooperating witness. Before his arrest, Miller and Robinson facilitated the sale of four firearms: an AR-15 “ghost gun” rifle; a Polymer 80 “ghost gun” pistol; a HIPOINT 9mm rifle; and a Ruger .38 caliber pistol.

Alan Robinson was sentenced to ten years in prison with five years of supervised release in April 2025. Malcolm Desir received a seven-year prison sentence on June 18, 2025, which includes three years of supervised release with the first year under home detention.

The sentencing announcement was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley, Scott Riordan (Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives), Boston Division; and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox. The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department provided valuable assistance in the case prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Luke A. Goldworm from the Major Crimes Unit.
