Harvard track and field recognizes Class of 2026 at annual dinner

Harvard track and field honored its graduating seniors at the Senior Recognition Dinner held at the Faculty Club on May 14. The event celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2026, recognizing both individual contributions and team spirit.

The recognition comes as these seniors prepare to graduate from Harvard University later this month. Seventeen athletes were acknowledged for their dedication: Mfoniso Andrew, Fabiola Belibi, Michaela Denson, Molly Malague, Lily O’Donoghue-McDonald, Jacklynn Okereke, Penelope Salmon, Abby Weber, Shane Brosnan, Jonas Clarke, Cam Henry, Reuben Henry-Daire, Michal Husek, Justin Levy, Daire Mahon, Chris Ruanoand Ondrej Vesely.

Jason Saretsky, The William W. “Bill” McCurdy Director of Track and Field/Cross Country at Harvard Crimson Women’s Cross Country and Men’s Cross Country teams awarded two team honors during the ceremony. The Women’s Track Award was presented to Molly Malague. Established in 1993,”the Harvard Women’s Track Award recognizes a Crimson senior that is an outstanding contributor and teammate both in and out of competition across indoor, outdoor and/or cross country competition.”

The Schick Sprint Award went to Reuben Henry-Daire. This award was established in 1932 by George Bradburn Schick ’32 in honor of his father William Anthony Schick Jr. ’05.”The Schick Sprint Award is awarded to a varsity sprinter on the Harvard who exemplifies qualities of performance and team loyalty which were characteristic of Mr. Schick.”

The evening highlighted not only athletic accomplishments but also leadership within the program as these students prepare for commencement.
