Harvard Men’s Squash finished its 2025–26 season with a 10-5 record and as the national runner-up, according to a May 14 announcement. The team demonstrated strong leadership and depth throughout the year, competing successfully in both Ivy League and national events.

The results highlight Harvard’s position among the top collegiate squash programs. The team’s performance included key victories over Western Ontario, MIT, Dartmouth, and No. 4 Virginia early in the season. As Ivy League play progressed, Harvard secured home wins against Columbia, Cornell, and Yale while facing close matches on the road against Penn and Princeton.

In postseason play, Harvard excelled at the inaugural Ivy League Squash Tournament by defeating Princeton in the semifinals before narrowly losing to Penn in the championship match. At the College Squash Association Team National Championships, Harvard opened with a win over No. 6 Columbia and then avenged its earlier loss to Penn by defeating them in a rematch to reach the National Championship match. Ultimately, Harvard finished as national runner-up after competing closely against No. 1.

Several players received individual honors for their contributions during the season. First-year player Christian Capella was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year and earned Second Team All-America honors with a 12-3 record. Junior Omar Azzam was selected for First Team All-America recognition while senior captains David Costales and Denis Gilevskiy were named to CSA All-America Second Team.

The team said that its consistency and growth this season have laid groundwork for future success: “The 2025–26 season reflected Harvard Men’s Squash’s consistency, competitiveness, and continued growth against some of the top programs in the country.” With experience gained from challenging matches throughout both regular season and postseason play, Harvard aims to build on these achievements moving forward.
