Harvard University released on May 22 a series of answers to random questions about the institution, provided by Harvard experts.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to share insights into the university’s nearly four centuries of history and its longstanding traditions. The content aims to engage readers with facts and stories related to Harvard’s legacy, as well as highlight individual experiences from members of its community.

The release features illustrations by Liz Zonarich and includes contributions from Sy Boles, a staff writer at Harvard. It also references several personal stories, such as Blake Mincey completing his physics degree at age 39 after careers in the military and music, Seth Rosenberg transitioning from combat photography to studying the psychology of power, and Rosie Rines achieving her college aspirations after many years.

Other topics mentioned include an Emmy-winning comedian scheduled to address College graduates on May 27 and new research into programs within oncology care. Additionally, there is mention of a public database designed to advance research on Harvard’s historical ties to slavery while supporting descendants seeking family histories.

The collection forms part of features and graduate profiles marking Harvard’s 375th Commencement. The series offers readers an opportunity to test their knowledge about America’s oldest university through a quiz format while exploring both academic achievements and personal journeys within the Harvard community.
