The Grafton Water District announced on April 16 that all services have been restored following a major water main break that occurred on April 13. Emergency repairs were completed in the affected area, including valve repairs, though an additional issue was identified during the process.

The incident impacted several areas, including Hollywood Drive, Beverly Road, Jordan, Terrace, Lake View Drive, Sunset Lane, and Shore Drive. The district said that crews are actively flushing hydrants today and will continue these operations tomorrow to address elevated levels of discolored water in the system.

While the water is safe for consumption and use, customers may notice temporary discoloration. The district recommends allowing tap water to run until it clears before using it for drinking, cooking, washing clothes or dishes.

“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to fully restore normal service,” the Grafton Water District said in its statement.
