A Brockton man, Malcolm Desir, has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for his involvement in cocaine and firearms trafficking in the Boston area. U.S. Senior District Court Judge William G. Young also imposed three years of supervised release on Desir, with the first year to be served under home detention.

Desir, 33, pleaded guilty in February 2025 to several charges including distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, aiding and abetting; being a felon in possession of a firearm; firearms trafficking; and knowingly possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. He was arrested alongside co-conspirators Cordell Miller and Alan Robinson in November 2023.

Miller was identified as a key figure in firearms and ammunition trafficking within metro Boston. During an investigation that began in August 2023, he sold multiple firearms to a cooperating witness through controlled purchases. He also coordinated sales of distribution-weight cocaine handled by Desir. In one instance, Desir sold the cooperating witness a firearm previously purchased from Miller. A search of Desir’s residence uncovered over 1.5 kilograms of powdered and crack cocaine, unknown prescription pills, evidence of distribution activities, and two illegal firearms.

In April 2025, Alan Robinson received a ten-year prison sentence followed by five years of supervised release. Cordell Miller pleaded guilty earlier this year and is awaiting sentencing on June 23, 2025.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Scott Riordan, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ Boston Division; and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox. The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department provided valuable assistance during the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Luke A. Goldworm is prosecuting the case.
