Seven student-athletes from the Boston University women’s rowing program were awarded All-Patriot League Honors, according to a May 19 announcement by the league. Junior Ingrid Eshuis, sophomores Kate Barham and Laura Leong, and freshman Marta Carfagni were named to the First Team. Junior Lydia Pelton and sophomores Raylynn Boston and Gigi Williams earned Second Team honors.

The recognition follows strong performances at recent competitions. Barham, Boston, Carfagni, and Eshuis all rowed in the Varsity 8+, which was coxed by Leong. The boat qualified for the Grand Final with a time of 6:39.697 in its morning heat before winning gold in the final with a time of 6:26.042, earning Boat of the Year honors.

Pelton and Williams competed in Boston University’s Second Varsity 8+. Their crew also won its morning heat with a time of 6:42.618 before securing gold in the final at 6:33.426, contributing to a sweep across all four races for BU.

For several athletes this marks their first All-League awards; Barham, Carfagni, and Leong are among those receiving this distinction for the first time. Boston and Williams each received their second career Second Team honor while Pelton notched her second overall All-League nod after being named to the First Team previously in 2025. Eshuis leads her teammates with three total All-League accolades including two consecutive First Team selections.

Boston University now awaits its NCAA Championship schedule which will be announced during an upcoming selection show at 5 p.m., after which the team will travel to Gainesville, Georgia to begin NCAA racing on Friday, May 29.
