Boston College Baseball will play against Miami in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, with first pitch scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. The game will be broadcast live on ACC Network.

The matchup is significant as Boston College enters the tournament as the No. 4 seed after achieving a program-best 17 wins in league play this season. The Eagles were initially picked to finish sixteenth in the preseason coaches’ poll but exceeded expectations to earn their highest-ever seed at the ACC Tournament.

Throughout the season, Boston College secured notable victories, including taking two out of three games from then-No. 24 Miami and winning series against other top-ranked teams such as Virginia and North Carolina. Their consistent performance included sweeping Cal at home and setting a new program record for most ACC wins following a victory at Clemson.

In previous ACC Tournament appearances, Boston College has an overall record of eight wins and nine losses over seventeen games. Last year, they advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Notre Dame and Virginia before falling to North Carolina.

Three players from Boston College—A.J. Colarusso, Nick Wang, and Luke Gallo—received All-ACC honors at the conclusion of regular season play. Colarusso and Wang were named to the third team while Gallo was selected for the All-Freshman team.

Miami enters Thursday’s game as the No. 5 seed with a regular season league record of sixteen wins and fourteen losses and recently defeated Stanford in tournament action. Derek Williams leads Miami offensively with a .385 batting average while Rob Evans heads their pitching staff with eighty-two innings pitched this year.

Historically, Boston College is thirteen wins and thirty-one losses all-time against Miami but holds a two-to-zero advantage over them in ACC Tournament matchups.
