Boston College baseball lost its regular season finale to Georgia Tech by a score of 15-2 on May 16. The game, held at Harrington Athletics Village in Brighton, set a new attendance record with 2,828 fans.

Despite the defeat, Boston College finished what it called the greatest regular season in program history. The team matched its record for most regular season wins at 36 and achieved a program-best Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) record of 17-13.

Georgia Tech took an early lead, scoring five runs in the first inning. Boston College responded in the bottom half when Kyle Wolff hit a bases-loaded double down the left field line, bringing two runners home. However, Georgia Tech added ten more runs through seven innings to secure their victory.

The Eagles now look ahead to the ACC Tournament next week at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina. The tournament begins with the first round on Tuesday, May 19. Final seedings will be determined after other ACC games conclude on Saturday.

This marks an important milestone for Boston College baseball as they prepare for postseason play following a historic regular season.
