Boston College baseball earns two-seed in Athens Regional for NCAA Tournament

Boston College baseball received the two-seed in the Athens Regional, hosted by Georgia, in the NCAA Tournament as announced Monday afternoon, May 25. The Eagles, with a record of 36-21, return to the tournament field for the first time since 2023 and are making their 13th overall appearance.

The Athens Regional will feature number-3 overall seed Georgia and Boston College alongside three-seed Liberty and four-seed LIU. Boston College is scheduled to play Liberty in its opening game on Friday at 2:00 p.m., which will be broadcast on ESPN+. Georgia will face LIU later that day at 7:00 p.m. on SECN. The regional games are set to take place from May 29 through June 1.

Boston College’s current season includes 36 wins, marking the second most victories in program history and featuring a program-best 17 wins during Atlantic Coast Conference play.

The Eagles hold an all-time record of 25-25 in NCAA Tournament competition and have reached the College World Series four times, most recently in 1967.
