Jacob Borch-Nielsen and Hector Cebrian of the Stonehill College men’s tennis team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, according to a May 12 announcement by the organization.

The recognition highlights student-athletes who have demonstrated strong performance both academically and in competition. Selection for the CSC Academic All-District honors requires student-athletes to participate in at least 70 percent of their team’s scoring matches while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher.

Borch-Nielsen, a junior, has built on his collegiate career with continued academic and athletic achievements. He was recently inducted into Stonehill’s Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and is recognized as a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete. Cebrian, a sophomore in his first season with the Skyhawks, earned his first CSC Academic All-District honor after making an immediate impact on the court. He ranked tied for third on the team with eight singles wins and led the squad with eleven doubles victories during the year.

The announcement also encourages fans to follow Stonehill Athletics through social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for further updates.

This recognition underscores ongoing efforts by Stonehill College athletes to balance rigorous academic standards with competitive sports performance.
